This Privacy Policy describes how Harborlight Watch handles information when you use the Harborlight Watch website, free storefront audit, customer account, monitoring dashboard, and related services.
Information we collect
We may collect account information such as your name and email address; restaurant information you submit such as a business name and public website URL; scan results, incident history, account preferences, and service usage; technical information used for security and rate limiting such as IP address and request metadata; and Stripe customer, subscription, and billing-status identifiers. Harborlight Watch does not intentionally store raw payment-card numbers.
Public website monitoring
The current monitoring layer retrieves publicly reachable restaurant webpages and links to evaluate availability and other storefront signals. Do not submit private-network URLs, credentials, or information you are not authorized to monitor.
How we use information
We use information to provide scans and monitoring, operate customer accounts, send requested alerts, process and reconcile subscriptions, secure the service, troubleshoot failures, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Service providers
We may use service providers for hosting, infrastructure, email delivery, security, analytics needed to operate the service, and payment processing. Stripe processes subscription checkout and billing under Stripe’s own privacy practices.
Retention
We retain account and monitoring information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and billing records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Account data may be deleted or anonymized when no longer required, subject to legitimate retention requirements.
Security
We use technical and administrative safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, including account-scoped data access, signed billing webhooks, request validation, rate limiting, and restricted monitoring destinations. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may update alert preferences from your account. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting [email protected], subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
Children
Harborlight Watch is a business service and is not directed to children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. Material revisions will be reflected by an updated date on this page.
