These Terms of Service govern access to Harborlight Watch, a digital storefront assurance service for restaurants and hospitality operators. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service
Harborlight Watch provides public-webpage audits, scheduled monitoring on eligible paid plans, incident tracking, and related account features. The exact current monitoring layer and its limitations are described on the Monitoring Scope page, which is incorporated into these Terms.
2. No guarantee of uninterrupted commerce
Monitoring reduces blind spots; it does not guarantee that every website, ordering provider, reservation service, payment flow, third-party platform, or guest journey will remain available or that every failure will be detected. Public reachability checks do not by themselves prove that a guest can complete every third-party JavaScript checkout or payment transaction.
3. Authorized use
You may monitor only businesses, websites, and locations you own, operate, manage, or are otherwise authorized to monitor. You may not use the service to probe private networks, evade access controls, disrupt third-party services, or conduct unlawful activity.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account. Notify Harborlight Watch promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans renew automatically for the billing period selected at checkout until canceled. Stripe handles payment processing. Founding pricing applies only to subscriptions purchased while the applicable founding price is offered. A continuously active subscription generally remains on the Stripe price attached to that subscription unless you change plans or otherwise agree to different pricing.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel through the available Stripe billing portal when enabled. Cancellation ordinarily takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless a different effective date is shown in Stripe. Access to paid monitoring may continue through that period.
7. Refunds
Except where required by law or expressly agreed otherwise, subscription charges are non-refundable once a billing period begins, and partial-month or partial-year refunds are not automatically provided. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact [email protected].
8. Changes to the service and pricing
Harborlight Watch may improve, modify, add, or retire features. Pricing for future purchases or plan changes may change. Existing subscription pricing is governed by the price attached to that Stripe subscription until changed in accordance with the subscription or applicable law.
9. Acceptable use and fair use
The service is designed for ordinary restaurant and hospitality monitoring. Automated abuse, excessive scanning intended to burden infrastructure, resale without authorization, credential attacks, scraping unrelated to the service, and attempts to defeat service safeguards are prohibited.
10. Third-party services
Harborlight Watch depends on third-party websites and providers that it does not control. Their availability, content, APIs, security, and behavior may change without notice.
11. Disclaimer
The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. Harborlight Watch does not warrant that monitoring will be error-free, uninterrupted, or exhaustive.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Harborlight Watch will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Any direct liability is limited to amounts paid for the service during the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
